This was on the night of Valentine's Day. The place is a serious mess, it's not even par with regular safety and cleanliness standards. The suite which was offered to was in a different building - our suite wasn't broomed, mopped or didn't even have a dustbin. There was only two glasses which wasn't clean either, there were stains on it and a kitchen which was pretty beat up not or mention no dish soap sponge either to clean those glasses. The toilet also didn't have any dustbin - the entire place was extremely cold, the curtains were dirty the TV didn't work. The banket was super thin to keep us warm. There was dust and dirt everywhere - this isn't ideal for even a regular house setting - far away from being a hotel standard. And for this they took 200 security deposit. The reception person was disrespectful. He told us that since they ran out of rooms they gave us double bedroom but under a condition to just use one bed. I was worried that if that means they were gonna bring another guest overnight. The place is a step away from growing molds in there. The staff is all knowledgeable and kind. Is it a 5 star hotel? Not necessarily but it’s trustworthy, clean, and i’ve never had an issue. Close by to a lot of food places and convenience stores. The room itself is all we need. Free wifi, Heat, and it’s private. I had a single room in the building a few doors down. Simple, yet clean, and a small kitchenette if that is a need. Comfy bed and pillows. My single room had a double bed, so it may work for a couple. A great base to set up camp , and explore that Dundas West neighborhood in Toronto with all the local eateries close by, etc. Price was excellent for accoms in Toronto these days. On my radar for a spring / summer trip down the line. Quiet at night as well as a key system only lets those staying there access the building. The place was hard to find - no signs, just a door leading to a hallway. This isn’t a great hotel, it’s just a place to sleep, there are no amenities - no coffee, no ice machine, no shampoo, the sink clogged, the beds were hard and there were scuffs and wear everywhere. If you just need a place to crash, no complaints, it’s that.
