Mountain View Cottage

Our home and the 5-STAR guest cottage sit on 11 ac. nestled in the valley on a hilltop between Lookout and Sand Mountains. Our driveway is over 400 feet long which allows lots of privacy. The cottage was built as a mother-in-law suite and sleeps two adults very comfortably, located across the driveway from our home. There is a pond that is about 1.5 ac and located along the lower driveway. We're located 1 - 3 miles from several good local and chain restaurants in Trenton, Georgia: Rock City, Ruby Falls, and Chattanooga, 20 -25 minutes. Ruby Falls features a 40-foot climbing tower with five routes of varying difficulty and 700 feet of rushing zip lines with amazing views of the Tennessee Valley! Also Lookout Mountain Flight Park- Hang Gliding and Paragliding Training Center. One of the best hang gliding experiences in the country is only 10 minutes away.

Cloudland Canyon is only 10 minutes, hiking paths include the short Overlook Trail, strenuous Waterfalls Trail, and moderate West Rim Loop Trail. Mountain biking is available at the newly developed Five Points Recreation Area and along the Cloudland Connector Trail. The park also offers disc golf, a fishing pond, trails for horseback riding, picnicking, and overlooks. Check out our guest book for more information.

Quiet cottage in the mountains

This quiet cottage was home away from home. It had everything that we needed for our long weekend. It was one of the nicest locations that we have stayed in.

Quaint Cottage Stay

Our family stayed in the cottage on a road trip from Nashville to Hilton Head. We enjoyed the peaceful setting. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and had all amenities that we required. It was a short drive to the city and tourist attractions. We would definitely recommend.

Great Modern Tiny Home

This little home is very nice! Owners were courteous and professional. Conveniently located between Chattanooga, Ft. Payne, Mentone, and even Rome, GA. Home is upscale for the value! Highly recommend !!

We LOVED Mountainview Cottage! Angela really has a flair for the country look and the cottage is super cute! It was also VERY clean with a comfortable king size bed. Really enjoyed watching the birds eat from the feeder out the kitchen window. Would highly recommend to friends & family and hope to visit again in the future.

Lovely Mountain View Cottage

Lovely cottage

We had a short one-night stay at the cottage on our way to Cloudlands Canyon. It was incredibly easy to check in, and we appreciated all the finishing touches that were in the cottage. In the morning, my son, who is 3, loved the rooster sounds and enjoyed watching the roosters out the back window. We definitely recommend!

Relaxing 😎 (highly recommend)

Really enjoyed our time here. The only 2 downsides to the whole place is the driveway is a little steeper than I thought it would be and when it was time to go none of us wanted to leave. Great people great place. Even got to feed goats and chickens. Very clean place. Very responsive and nice owners. Highly Highly recommend. Hope to be able to come back again sometime.

Ideal stay for us

The hosts thought of everything we could possibly need. The property was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Very secure. Beautiful view. Close proximity to owners house but private otherwise. Interesting barnyard animals (goats and chickens) nearby (the rooster crowing did awaken us but a sound machine is provided inside). This was an ideal place for us to stay.

A wonderful place to breathe, recharge, and enjoy the views!

This was our first trip to Trenton, GA. James and Angela's cottage is beautiful and comfortable. This is the cleanest vacation home I have been to. They truly take care of this place and it has all the essentials you could need during your stay. Communication and assistance was excellent and quick. Initially I had reservations about the cottage being so close to their home, however they were extremely respectful of us and our space. On the other hand, they were just a quick call or text away and provide exceptional service. This place is gorgeous, views are magnificent. It is close to attractions like Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, etc. We enjoyed our time here and highly recommend James and Angela's cottages.

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay

We wanted a nice peaceful place to stay for our anniversary. This place was perfect. Coming from the flatlands, the steep driveway was a little daunting, but well worth it. There is a beautiful view and cottage had everything we needed. There are two grocery stores not far. We stayed a week, so we went shopping and ate breakfast and dinners here. We also enjoyed hiking and sightseeing at nearby parks as well as Chattanooga. We enjoy animals and loved seeing the goats and chickens, though they are back behind a creative "storefront" decoration and could easily be missed if you aren't interested. The hosts were friendly and easily accessible, but also conscientious of privacy. Lovely place. I can imagine the fall colors are gorgeous.

Very cute and easy stay!

Very cute cottage and neighborhood. I was a little skeptical about staying in a MIL-suite type cottage across the way from the hosts, but it was super easy and didn’t feel intrusive in any way. We were on the last leg of our road trip with our little ones (3 and 6 years old), so we used this time to just have some chill time which worked out well because we knew the weather wasn’t going to be stellar. The space was enough for us and had everything we may have needed if we stayed longer. It’s a great “pass through” location or for a longer stay with tons in the areas surrounding. Our kids enjoyed just wandering around the property and hanging out. The hill into the parking area after the long driveway is much steeper than we were prepared for, but not an issue for us, our car is just lower to the ground, so just be ready for that if you have a lower car. Overall, super cute space and great for couples or those with easy going littles.
