We checked in and were given a ground level room with a pool view. We booked and paid for a deluxe king room with an ocean view. We were told since we booked through a 3rd party that they did not have the room that we booked available. They were able to put us on the 3rd floor with a view of the pool and a partial view of the ocean. We still had to pay full price though. Then when I got into the room there was a clump of light brown human hair on the bedding. After I took a shower that evening, I pat my face dry with the towel. Came away with a light colored human hair on my mouth!!! We had a 4 month old baby with all her supplies, and using the elevator on the property is a nightmare. It barely fits 2 people, let alone a luggage cart to bring up your luggage. The whole property smells like dead fish and there is bird poop literally everywhere. They also put a family with a dog next to our room that was also an adjoining room to theirs. The dog would not stop barking and kept waking our baby up. I was under the impression there were pet friendly buildings, but was not aware that we would be placed in one. The view is not worth the money you have to spend! As a note we did not express our concerns to the front desk because there was so much we were unhappy with that it was already decided we would not be coming back to this hotel for our annual trip to Pismo.
