This hotel is in an apartment building, floors 4-8. We booked this hotel because we were looking for a location semi near the Itami airport for an early morning flight. Unfortunately, this hotel is in a NO taxi pick up area!!! Something we really wish we knew before booking.

Checkin process was very long and my key didn’t work - they forgot our door was malfunctioning and I received a physical key after two trips up and down. No cleaning service, they leave all supplies by the elevator. Clean, close to many attractions, front staff friendly and knowledgeable. Pretty far from subway station if you have to bring a lot of luggage (recommend taking a Grab/taxi).

Nara's near proximity to the cities of Kyoto and Osaka makes it an easy side trip in anyone's Kansai itinerary. And although most people come to Nara for the roaming (but tame) deers and the historical temples, Nara park offers a lot of hidden gems that I would recommend devoting a whole day to enjoy a trip to Japan's first permanent capital.
