The canyon is a wonderful place to visit. Unfortunately, it is very crowded with tour groups moving nearly continuously through the 1/4 mile canyon. Light levels are low and a tripod is essential to compose and shoot high quality photos -- but not tripods are allowed. Take your smartphone, but leave your expensive camera back where you are staying.

Love upper antelope but Lower antelope Gorgeous!

My group of friends and I did both upper and lower tour on the same day, and we all felt like the upper canyon tour was a waste of money after learning that the LOWER canyon scenery covers everything the upper canyon has to offer and even exceed our expectation. If you can walk, climb the ladder, and bend your back then you should absolutely just go to LOWER Antelope Canyon. The scenery, customer service, and overall experience in the LOWER Antelope Canyon exceeded the Upper Canyon. Upper Antelope Canyon tour guide rushed everyone out and the Upper tour was shorter than the Lower canyon tour.

Didn't go here but can't figure how to get the "didn't go here" button back after accidentally pushing a rating button. Read about how crowded it is so skipped it in favor of Canyon X and Cardiac Canyon.

See my comments for Antelope Canyons ! Beautiful place. Check the weather before you go. If it is raining consistently, it is best to avoid lower Antelope Canyon. Also, suggest the tour when it is mild-to-warm weather with the sun. Sun rays are beautiful when visiting upper Antelope Canyon. Also, reserve the tours in advance. These tours get booked fast. Without a tour, you will not be able to visit the Canyons.
