“Cabbiavoli was the gathering place for our two week celebration with family and friends for my husband’s retirement. We were within an hour of every place we wanted to visit (Florence, Siena, Piza, Volterra) and even got to do the Cinque Terre hike, albeit a long day but so worth the two hour drive time! The train being so close made all excursions possible. Wineries are very close and within driving distance. Cabbiavoli itself is loaded with history and its grounds and views are breathtaking.……

“The facility is very old but well worth the stay in a 800 year old plus castle. The restaurant service delicious meal and the whole staff are very friendly and helpful. If you don’t stay here you will miss a great opportunity to stay in such a historical place”

It had everything we needed for our 3 days whist we explored the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, all a short car journey away. Because of the location you definitely needed a car. “We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. There were things that could have been improved on… For example, there was nowhere to get breakfast or lunch. The nearest town is a good little hike down a hill and back up with groceries so having a car is a must. We used the local bus line and it was inconvenient. It would be great if they could provide a continental breakfast or even a vending machine for snacks/water. The castle itself was beautiful. The grounds and swimming pool were……

“It is a very beautiful castle with lovely scenic views. We were there in June. The rooms were very spacious and nice. It is very accessible to other towns in Tuscany. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. The only problem we had was the mosquitoes. We had our windows shut throughout the nights although a few managed to come through..otherwise everything else was great!”

“We had booked an apartment (no. 4) in Montegufoni for 2 weeks from the end of July to the beginning of August 2024. The location of the castle is very beautiful and quiet. The charm of the old castle is really charming. The staff were all very friendly. Our apartment was located outside the castle. It was 50 to 100 meters to the castle on foot. Unfortunately, the pictures in the advertisement did not show the poor condition of the apartment. It had not been renovated over the years. The……
