We stayed at the Prince of Wales hotel for 1 night. This historic hotel is situated on a bluff overlooking the lake, so has a wonderful view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the 2 beds were comfortable. Bring earplugs with you as we could hear the neighbouring room very easily! There is parking at the hotel for $12/day. We had breakfast at the hotel which had a great view of the lake. Be aware that the elevator is old so it needs a hotel staff to operate it and it only runs up to the fourth floor.

The Prince of Wales is a lovely historic hotel. It met most of our expectations. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and their nightly talks were entertaining. And you can't beat the views from the rooms, especially the lake side ones.The food was also delicious. Our only negative was that they did not have a coffee station for guests in the lobby. We felt that since there were no in-room coffee makers, this would have been a great addition, especially considering the room rates. And we almost all need coffee (or tea) in the morning.

Very small rooms, no modern amenities at all, noisy with non existent sound proofing…..reminded me of Gilligan’s Island…. Not a single luxury…..food at The Windsor lounge was absolutely horrible…..would never stay there again…..
