I arrived to check in and use my work card, not the one that Expedia had on file. I found the hotel had charged my personal card which resulted in an overdraft fee and several hours of trying to sort out my account. They would not let me use the bank card I brought with me. When contacted about the best way to proceed with a refund or to charge a different card, I was told it was a third party processing problem, not theirs. When contacting Expedia I was told to contact the property. At a loss. 2) the odor in the room, specifically emanating from the drain, was incredibly bad. The entire room smelled like sewage. Slept with the windows and doors open to sleep comfortably. 3) as we were leaving in the morning I was waiting outside my room, since it smelled so bad inside, sitting on one of the flower bed ledges. The maid was cleaning the room above us and without looking below shook out a dirty mat covering me with debris, rocks, and dust. My team witnessed this happen. At the very least glance down at the walkway before shaking a dirty mat out over where guests may be. I’ve never left a negative review about a hotel before this one. So disappointing. But the staff just was not 4 star staff. They were nice but just msybe not fully trained. No one seem to know the answers for things or you got a different answer from 1 staff member to another. Rooms were very nice and clean. Pool area was nice, however the food service st the pool was extreme slow anf unorganized. Then we paid for a fire pit smores experience anf we waited 25min after reservation time for the experience to start. I actually had to call the front desk to see if any was coming.. then finally got the smores snd placed an order for drinks. More than 30 min later the hot drinks arrived luke warm or cold. I just felt like i paid for an experience that was terrible, It was bad. But the property itself is great its just that i paid 4 star prices for 2 star service. I dont know if id go back. Id rather go to a ritz cartlon or four season. Ahain property was beautiful and the ppl were nice. Just not trained for 4 star service. I left feeling like i paid alot for this and usually i leave a 4 or 5 star hotel not really caring how much i spent bc the experience was amazing, this was not the case.
