“Hotel currently going through refurbishment in different areas. Got an excellent deal with B&B so needed hotel for Sat night in area so grabbed. Stated a Club room which was small but cozy. New refurbed but can see has been done cheaply. Existing damaged ensuite door, old bath with new panels just fitted.. if your gonna refurb, do it properly as looks poor. Pool OK but tub was like a washing machine, needed some de-foamer.. Breakfast was OK, box standard. 1 issue we had was disrespect of……

“This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.”

“The room was really spacious and clean. It was a little bit old as the carpet was a bit worn in places which was a shame. The pool area was nice and was well maintained. The breakfast was regularly stocked which was a bonus as some hotels are very slow at refreshing the breakfast! All in all, a nice hotel on beautiful grounds. Would stay again”

“The first room I was given smelt of smoke and the duvet cover had dust and dirt on it. This gave a very bad first impression. Fortunately I was able to move rooms, as although the hotel was fully booked some people had not yet checked in. I do hope they cleaned the room again before they did. The 2nd room was clean and comfortable. However soundproofing isn’t good and I could hear water running in adjacent bathrooms.”

“Good breakfast. Some of the soft furnishings in bedroom starting to look aged and a bit shabby. Cobweb on ceiling window and thick dust on curtain pelmet. One of the befs was broken on one side”

“Well from the welcome to the last minute we could not fault this place. Location fantastic with great views of the River Dee. All the staff weee super friendly even the manager/owner! We checked in slightly early at 13:30pm, had a couple of drinks in the bar to then later on having evening meal all fab. Plenty of choice on the menu and delicious.. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The shower super powerful. Sockets either side of the bed as well. The breakfast was really good……
