"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. "Overall, very comfortable and location was very central. Well equipped except for cleaning materials. Off site parking was a challenge. The house could have been cleaner - there was food left in the fridge which we had to throw away. The outside table was very dirty. No antibac spray to clean it. Bathroom window didn't open nor did one window in the twin room. I wouldn't describe it as pet friendly as pets are not allowed upstairs where the main living accommodation is. "Centrally located hotel with a nice bar which had live jazz music on Friday afternoons. The rooms seem fairly new in their decor and there was a nice comfortable bed. We were given the option of taking an accessible room as we booked very last minute and it was incredibly spacious and we didn't hear any noise. We didn't eat in the hotel. "

"Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away. It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous. Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe was excellent. "
