“Room had stains on the wall. Overall hotel need’s updating.
Staff friendly but chef stressed as no one was checking on breakfast items that kept running out!
Dinner was lovely though…. Sticky toffee pudding to die for.
Stay was ok for the price and it was the second time we have stayed. So obviously not too bad.”
“Friendly and polite staff. Hotel located in town center with lots of shops and a variety of restaurants nearby. The on-site car park is first-come-first serve and becomes full early. Be prepared to park in off-site paid car park if you drive.”
“This is a historic inn on a pilgrim’s route. It is not a modern, high rise hotel. Don’t let those expectations diminish your experience here. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The beds are comfortable. There are not a lot of frills and extras here yet that is not what this inn is about.
Be aware that the inn is not in town. There is a rather narrow road going to the inn. Good, free parking. The breakfast is basic.
The pub area is super cool and historic - not sure how good the food is -……
“Overall it's good. The service is excellent, and the room is cosy. But there was only one drawback which we met a private party. Therefore, the spa, Sunna cannot used as much as we can.”
“I stayed one night and my room was absolutely spotless. There was tea, coffee and biscuits in my room and the bed was very comfortable. The only complaint I have is that I was woken at 2.30 in the morning with what sounded like a radio show playing classical music somewhere near my room. I thought it would stop but by 4am it hadn’t. I rang the hotel number to ask about it but no-one answered.”
