“First solo trip I've ever taken. Went Tuesday-Friday. Was looking quiet and relaxed, and that's exactly what Avila was. The lagoon was beautiful. Food in both restaurants was good. I considered a meal plan but didn't need it. If you eat three whole meals a day, then maybe worth it. One thing, not a complaint though, I was waiting for wait staff to come around and take a drink order on the beach but couldn't find any. The QR code to order food/drink only worked if you had a credit card……

“Don’t expect an early check-in. We arrived at 12p and had to wait until 4pm for check-in and the room still wasn’t even ready. They let 2 others get a room and we continued waiting until 4:30pm to get a room.
The bathroom has a broken panel that was off multiple days and their fix was just placing it against it but clearly had a problem flushing because it wasn’t appropriately attached. Water pressure was horrible in the shower.
The pool’s floor conditions were poor and every day the water……
