"Main light did not work, and in the dark, I had to move the bed to access a dangerous wall socket for the bedside light. There was nowhere to put clothes, items or a desk to use and no chair and no space for this anyway. Better if the small double bed was swopped for a single to allow a desk & chair to be put in. The steep and shallow stairs were a safety hazard, so be careful. And the TV didn't allow access to Freeview!
There was no crockery or cutlery to use despite advertising a well-equipped...

Excellent stay. Great host, really lovely rooms and fresh cooked breakfast in the morning is a must. Great location, around a 5 - 10 minute walk to the city center and right next door to the pub. No parking on site but there is a large multi-story public parking nearby which is a good cheap option.

Property managed to get it just right! Super historical and atmospheric yet still very comfortable. The bed was cozy and the rooms quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay here again. Breakfast was made to order and excellent!
Parking was tight yet present and free. Hotel was 3 blocks from city center and 2 blocks from cathedral. Perfect placement.
Do yourself a favor and choose to stay here!!

The location was wonder, right next to the Old Mill. Excellent coffee was provided in the room, and the bathrooms super modern. In addition, the room was spacious, and the old fireplace was such a cozy touch!

Wonderful little B&B. The owner even did a load of laundry for us when he found out that our luggage had been delayed and all we had was one change of clothes! Good location for exploring Winchester. With limited luggage you can walk from the train station and to and from town.

Nice comfortable room. Quite large. Comfy bed.
Plastic on bottom of shower door needed a good clean as did around the taps but the rest of the room/bathroom was spotless.
The desk had quite a few chips.
