“No elevator to the second floor; didn't see anything at breakfast time, not even coffee; room had a peculiar smell-- like someone painted to cover the smoke, but it got musty; our toilet seat was not attached to the toilet, but it was fixed quickly; hard water orange stains high up the shower curtain; bath floor mats were hung like they were two hand towels; all three bath towels had grey stains like they were caught in grease;

“Very beautiful Inn. The rooms are very clean and quiet. There are lots of sitting areas on the property, and a pier that you can walk out on to view the bay. The breakfast was wonderful. There is a small bar downstairs, but we weren't sure if it was in operation.
The check-in was a bit awkward. Hotels.com had listed that I would receive an email from the Inn within 5 days of my reservation. I never received an email from the Inn, so I emailed them and didn't hear back. I then called them and……
