“Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again.”

“The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. ”

“First time i have stopped at this hotel but it will not be the last really pleasant owners and staff lovely big room and on suit bathroom and great breakfast at a nice price. Plus it has it own pub.”

“We recently stayed at Tempus and were genuinely impressed by the hotel itself. Unfortunately, our experience at The Orangery restaurant was far below the standard we expected. We arrived for our 7:45pm reservation and were initially seated directly beside the kitchen. Throughout service, chefs could be heard swearing loudly and frequently, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere and ultimately led us to request another table. The menu was also disappointing, with a significant number of dishes……
