“Such a wonderful place to stay from the location, the staff and the room. We loved it all!”

“If you like Harry Potter, then you’ll like the accommodation, as there is a strong Harry Potter theme running throughout. That said, the cleanliness of the room occupied was at best ok while shelf space was extremely limited. Breakfast was a two-part affair, split between a cold buffet and a limited selection of hot food from the breakfast menu. The buffet was poorly provisioned when it comes to the likes of pastries, fresh fruit and yogurts with such items either lacking in variety or quantity,……

“A lovely light and airy room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed and plenty of clean towels. Staff were most welcoming and very helpful. Wonderful selection of goodies for breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning alongside a cooked breakfast and timings for breakfast most accommodating.”

“Indian food was fantastic chief and barman very pleasant and chief always asked if food was ok Rooms could be cleaner a socket would be good near kettle .breakfast was mediocre but hot and served quickly could do with more choices If known it was a haunted hotel we would never have booked due to my anxiety Rooms not serviced asked for more toilet roll but never got”

“Look, don't get me wrong, it's not terrible by any means. It's just that for a hotel that's trying to play at this level, it struggles with some of the basics. If you're having a short stay there's no housekeeping by default, (which they don't tell you when you arrive) but there's only a small (non-heated) towel rail, so you're going to have soggy towels on day 2. Yes, there was a (small) sign in reception saying this, but it's the kind of thing it would be good for the receptionist to……

“Love are stay. Very welcoming. Staff were great. Room clean but could do with a paint job as paint was flaking. Plenty of choice for tea and coffee. For the room being above a pub it was very quiet. Breakfast good”
