“No bottled water offered. Hair dryer in room didn’t work. No extra roll of toilet paper in room. Otherwise, room & property were clean and it was pretty convenient to downtown Blowing Rock. Staff was friendly & helpful.”

“When you visit Blowing Rock you have to stay at the Embers. It’s our favorite get away-located on the corner of Main Street you can easily walk anywhere-to the restaurants, shops, museum etc. The rooms and public areas are immaculate, beds and linens inviting and comfortable, rain showers with all the immensities, beautiful towels, staff is friendly and you get the feeling they love working there(thats important) all rooms have balconies-great restaurant and bar area inside as well as outside……

“Other than the day we checked in there was never anyone at the front desk and to dorr to the lobby was almost always locked. No extra towels or coffee was available.”

“This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside……

“Clean room. We stayed in a "cabin", which has 4 apartments in it. Older property. Could use updating. Very clean. Bed was uncomfortable. Grounds were lovely.”

“Room couldn't seem to cool down around time for bed even though I had it turned way down. However it was a super hot weekend. Finally around 2am I could tell we were making headway and we're able to finally go to sleep (soundly). Soap/shampoo dispenser in shower was completely empty, which I was sad because it smelled so good (the conditioner anyway) Otherwise the room was spacious, clean, and we were happy.”
