3/5 - Okay
It was what we expected. A pretty downtrodden area. So not surprised, but we had intended to stay for 6 days and moved out after 2.

While visiting Barrio Las Playitas, you might make a stop by sights like Playa Pochote and Puntarenas Beach.

Overall, a great hotel/condo. My wife and I enjoyed our stay, the staff, the breakfasts, and proximity to getting around. Thumbs up.

I truly appreciate the communication with the host and their welcoming of us. The property was clean, well lit, and had everything we needed and wanted.

Puntarenas isn’t somewhere I’d come back to. We were only here to catch the ferry bright and early to head to Santa Teresa
I thoroughly enjoyed Puntarenas! Nice people, good food, positive vibe.
Just a pass by place
I don’t recommend Puntarenas, unless you have specific business there. Not a tourist area
