“While the room was clean and looked like it was recently renovated, it was stripped down to the bare essentials with only a single arm chair and a small desk chair. The exterior was in poor condition, and in need of repair, painting and landscaping. The lobby seemed to have undergone some renovation, but was likewise stripped down and barren of any decorative items that might have made it seem more welcoming. “I loved the room layout. The only thing was the bed. It wasn't comfortable at all. I still gave 5 starts because in the morning I let the staff know and they seemed responsive and requested if it happens again on future trips to call down and they would get me another place to sleep for the night where I wouldn't have to move all my stuff I settled in with. I only stayed one night with a late check in, and I didn't know that was an option or I would have requested that.”

“The property is excellent; the facilities are excellent BUT some of the staff need training in hospitality especially for an exceptional property in a historic area. I have been twice in the last 3 weeks due to work, and it was the same both times. Both times, I had multiple experiences at the front desk where staff didn't even look up from what they were doing and said, "Can I help you?" with exasperated facial expressions that appeared as if I was an annoyance or chore. “Not everyone is a coffee drinker. Tea bags in room would be appreciated. At least one Hook in bathroom would be nice! And most all hotels up and down I-95 provide a free breakfast not just a piece of fruit, baked good and drink. Staff was wonderful however Some room improvements are needed.”
