“This Little Cabin is in a perfect location - not far from town, shopping, university…2.5 miles out creating its own seclusion and safe place. It’s nice to be waken by the sounds of nature and the farm animals. The cabin is a lovely retreat; nicely done and perfect for the location. The place was perfect for 4 adults and a fur-baby. My fur-baby enjoyed the space and she was awed by the animals. I spent many summers in Troy in my childhood roaming the countryside on my family homestead. ...

“Its a tough review. The communication was great and entering the rental was easy. It was very clean on the inside. Renting a tiny floating cabin sounded good in theory, but all the boats coming in and out made it rough just being on it with all the rocking back and forth. Most of the doors didnt shut, so everytime a boat would come through the doors would sling open and shut. Thats partially on me renting something different, but the expectations were a little different. We knew it was small and...

“So. it took until midnight for the hot tub to heat up. The TV would not come on, and the next property had big loose dogs. But, the owner came out the next day and fixed the TV. The cabin was perfect. The river outside was beautiful. A steep hike to get down there, but worth it. It was hard to walk my dog, due to the other loose dogs. I wish everyone would be respectful with their pets and use a leash. Because, his were out without supervision, and he knew that I had a dog. ”

“Instructions on how to operate some of the appliances (water heater, ac/heater, fans etc.,) would have been helpful. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the shower above 78 degrees. I also could not get the wi-fi to work. I'm sure it was operator error lol. Other than the small inconveniences the property was perfectly peaceful and true to advertisement. Would definitely stay again.”

Ultra convenient to downtown Mentone, panoramic sunsets at Brow park, all the best restaurants....Desoto Falls and Park just a few miles down the road. A fabulous way to take in the rustic charm of Mentone! ”

“My husband and I spent my 60th birthday in this cabin and it was wonderful! Very private and cozy and close to downtown Ft Payne. The owner is very communicative and friendly and his mom serves the best ice cream right down the road. Absolutely loved our time in this rustic cabin!”
