“Suwa Villa Arenal was delightful! A little oasis amid the bustle of La Fortuna. It has an inside/outside vibe--the rooms are inside (and air conditioned); the hallways, kitchen and common area are outside and covered, and there are beautiful planted areas (with big trees, a pool, and some outdoor amenities) that are outside but within the walls. One morning I sat in the common kitchen and listened for fifteen minutes to the birds in a large adjacent tree. We really did use the common kitchen and……

“One of a kind place amidst forest and reserve. Wood cabins gave a wonderful feel and the stay was very comfortable. It has all the necessities, and they also provide room service cleaning. Lots of animals and birds that you can see within the property. We saw Toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, spider monkeys, agouti etc. Would definitely come back!”

“Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!”
