"When we arrived at Finca Lucky we didn't receive the confirmation email for the key. It was very stressful, as this made me distrustful. We had to ask the neighbors for the phone number of the owner's contact. The house was a mess. The sheets were thrown on the bed. The curtains were not put up. We had to clean everything ourselves. "10/10 hospitality from Guido and Krista! We thank you for your insight, recommendations and perspective! Casita 3 was a fabulous getaway for a week. Kitchen is adequate, as we did prepare most of our dinners there. The deck and views are fabulous. The mattress is very comfortable! Water quality and water pressure are great. Guido and Krista responded right away to an unexpected water pressure surprise. It’s close to Restaurant Teosinte, which should not be missed! Don’t forget Juan’s farm tour!...

"Fantastic place, amazingly well managed, and wonderful staff. Intimate, all staff were amazing. We felt so well taken care of. Every detail was thought through. The place is a 2 min walk to the ocean through a beautiful forest, straight from the property- we were going in and out in swim suits. The beach is fantastic, for surfers especially. Highly recommend!"

"We loved this hideaway! Tucked in off a side road, it’s peaceful and relaxing with a gorgeous view of the sunset just a quick walk from the property. Playas Samara and Carrillo are a quick drive in either direction. We were glad to be cloistered among the giant trees at this property instead of close to the chaos of a beach town. The staff were so attentive and kind addressing all our needs. Onsite is a restaurant which was excellent and reasonably priced for lunch or dinner. I would stay here again and again!"

"We had a great time in Samara! The apartment was a perfect size for our family of 4. Great location - so close to little shops, bakery and restaurants. The apartment and pool area was very clean. The included breakfast was delicious! We always felt very safe and appreciated the entry by code and lock box so we didn’t have to carry keys with us. They also assisted us with an amazing turtle egg laying night excursion. It’s a short walk to the beachfront property (where breakfast is served). Beach pictures are a little misleading. Yes, lounge chairs are available but there isn’t much room to use them. In front of the building is a surf school that has palapas for rent; meaning you can use the hotels chairs but not directly in front and no shade found. I think they have 1 umbrella to use but one of the other guests was using it. Overall, we loved Samara and loved this place and would definitely stay here again."

"We loved the hotel, however we were woken up by loud construction going on in the property each morning and our shade was broken in our room which was never addressed after we reported it several times. The only other thing is if you are going to this hotel DO NOT FLY INTO SJO. THE TRAFFIC IS DANGEROUS AND 5.5 hour drive. Expedia is at fault on this. They should not even have it as an alternative. It’s like wanting to go see the Alamo and they fly you into Dallas."
