Clean, modest, affordable
The house was as described. Clean and easy to find. A couple of things to know - the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are steep. We had a hard time keeping it comfortably warm, but to be fair, we were there during the midst of a winter storm with high winds - so challenging for an older home, and plenty of quilts and blankets on hand to keep everyone cozy. The host was VERY accommodating in allowing us to stay an extra night due to poor driving conditions (in fact, a travel ban...) Overall, the price was right, the house welcoming, and the host accessible and kind. We would stay there again.

Country Oasis
This home was perfect for a first time trip to New York. My parents are country people, so the location was fantastic with low traffic on the road and lots of grass and trees around. The staircase is steep, no doubt about it, but it worked out just fine. The property has a very comfortable, "homey" feel and the kitchen was great for making meals in. The washer and dryer were very helpful and it is nice to come home with a suitcase of clean laundry. We only had one very minor issue come up on our last night and the owner was great about it. If I travel to the Buffalo/Rochester area again, I would book this without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet country getaway.

Great place to stay!
Rental was clean, and host provided bottle water and coffee for keurig which was amazing! We stayed for four days and three nights as we were bringing our oldest up for college. Absolutely beautiful property! Apple trees right out the kitchen window. Giant back and side yard that the younger kids and our dog could run around and play in. It was the perfect middle point between Rochester and Niagra. This house, the local people we chatted with, and the breathtaking views on our drive has made us all fall in love with New York. We will definitely book again when we come back up to visit. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Everything was great. Our only issue is that I believe it advertised as having 4 beds and there were three and an air mattress which didn't work properly. So, just be aware, if you're traveling with a larger group, if space is an issue. We managed, and more than that, it's a lovely spot and the management was very helpful and quick to respond to questions, etc. If we have the opportunity we would love to return. Thanks so much.

Peaceful and Relaxing
So much better than a hotel. Peace and quiet was what we were looking for and it is what we found. Bed was comfy, living room was great for hanging out. Water pressure in the shower is a little low and the stairs to upstairs were steep. We just chose the bed downstairs instead. It was the perfect solution for us. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying here while we attended a family reunion in Batavia, NY. Older, clean farm house with a large yard. Great option, especially when there aren’t very many options in the area.

It all worked out but could have been better.
We had a great stay when we were up for a family reunion but ran into a few significant issues. The house was clean and great for the price. But we had to do a lot of improvising that we were not prepared for. The oven did not work so heating up food and cooking for 7 adults was rough. We were also only given 6 towels. We were able to contact the owner and get towels from a bag in the garage. The biggest issue was that the listing reads the there are two queen size beds either in the Master bedroom or one queen bed in each of two master bedroom. There are three rooms and three queen beds. The fourth bed is a broken air mattress. (There is a massive bubble in the center that you have to bend over which is super uncomfortable) With 7 adults, we had no option but to use the broken air mattress as the couch is not big enough to lay on. We made it work but was a huge bummer for the adult who thought they had a bed and did not. A lot of inconvenience. Would have brought our own supplies had we known we would need them. We advised the owner and am sure he will make the adjustments for future guests but wanted to give those a heads up if they are planning to use that fourth bed.

Exactly what we expected
The house was clean and well stocked with what you need. An excellent supply of towels and linens. The stairs are steep, as you would expect in a house of this age. The grounds are beautiful. Very peaceful surroundings.

We didn’t get to spend much time at the farm house as we were busy visiting family, but it was clean and met all our needs. There was a very nice fire pit out back that was stocked with wood. Host was very responsive and friendly!

Quiet farmhouse in a hotel desert.
We have a well-behaved but loud dog so hotels are out when traveling. This farmhouse is set in a beautiful rural area with a large, well kept yard. The house was clean and cozy with enough kitchen equipment for us to host dinner one night. And it is a short drive to many attractions, including the city of Rochester.

Not for everyone but Great value
The host was great. Prompt replies to questions pre-stay and during. Very helpful. This is an older farmhouse and a bit rough around the edges. The stairs to upper floor are steep and narrow. (Again, old farmhouse. ) Some of the updates/renovations seem a bit slip-shod and the place could use a good painting. Bathroom shower/tub needs cosmetic work but functions well. Those are all things to keep in mind if you're looking for a 'perfect' spot. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! Wireless is great. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen has a Keurig like coffee maker and host provided coffee. Also some bottled water. Location is great if you're okay with country. Served us as a great home base for travel to Buffalo/Niagara Falls, Rochester, Finger Lakes. One more thing to keep in mind: I-90 is very close, and you will have constant highway noise. NOT A PROBLEM inside. Outdoors it is noticeable. So, if you don't mind some rough edges and like a country feel this place is a BARGAIN!

serenity plus great location
If you have business or family in the area around Bergen NY then don’t miss out on this quiet roomy place nestled in farm country. This house is ideally located in Bergen. There is a really good place for breakfast and lunch, the Bergen Farm Market Family Restaurant, just a few minutes away and also a very nice restaurant for supper, the Depot, is close by as well. The house has three bedrooms, two up and one down. We took the downstairs bedroom and it was clean and comfortable as were the other two bedrooms. There were TVs in the bedrooms and the quiet new air conditioning units kept the place cool. The well equipped kitchen and bathroom were newly remodeled and the place was spotless. There is a large circular yard well off the road which is great if you have kids with you and also great for walking a dog as small pets are allowed here. We have family in the area and loved the location as it was handy to Avon, Piffard and Chili and Conesus Lake. The host is very responsive and we had a nice stay without issues of any sort. We can highly recommend this house. There is ample parking and the views of the farms from the front door are expansive and relaxing.
