"Main issues were a) the "bistro" and bar area looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Most of the dining tables had been replaced by a pool table and dart boards. Broken or unused furniture was piled up at the side of the room. After taking one look, we decided that eating here was not an option. Similar unwanted furniture etc was piled up on the stairs to the second floor. All in all, there is no way this could be described as a tidy place b) our room was immemdiately above the bar....

"Nice comfortable bed, good strong pressure in the shower & excellent food in the bar. Only issue was one of the bedside lights didn't work as the bulb was broken."

"The reception, house and dining staff were lovely. However the room was dated and in need of some investment in the building fabric. Windos propt open with wooden dowels, taps you have to rotate a few times before you get any meaningful water out (both hot and cold). The mixer tap in the bath for showers had a nut missing to hold the handle from coming off in your hand. Same problem with getting water as per the sink. No thermostat control so temperature fluctuates constantly. Fan in the room helped keep air flowing. With the window open on the room location, there was the constant noise of machinery switching on and off through the day and evening. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of the city so no distance to get to the night life or shops and the market."

"I booked 3 rooms at the hotel, we had a room in the main part of the hotel, this was a very large room with a copper bath in the bedroom, this was very nice, the weather was very hot over the stay and the room had air conditioning and kept the room nice and cool, we also had a luxury double room with garden access, this was very nice with a canopy over the patio area that gave a bit of shade over looking the golf course, the 3rd room was a luxury double on the 2nd floor, there was no air conditioning and the window only opened slightly, the room was adequate for the 4 nights, however there is no fridge in any of the luxury rooms, what is a shame, we looked at the day time menu that is limited, we were told that there was food at the golf house (19th hole), we found something to have here, this was very limited, however we did turn up just before the club house was closing. The spa is nice, small and times are limited and not advertised very well, we went on Saturday evening for a late swim, but went Sunday evening at the same time to find the spa closed. Over all a very nice place to stay and would stay again."

"Our hotel room was very hot, no ac or an additional fan was available. There was mould and rust in the bathroom, the curtains had holes in them, the tv didn’t work, the tap water was cloudy so we had to buy bottled water. The pool wasn’t very nice and with no shallow end it’s not kid friendly. The breakfast was lovely, staff were nice and helpful but for a 4 star hotel it seemed in real need of an update, small changes like additional fans, a fridge in the room, sorting out mould and buying new curtains would have made a huge difference. Plus we saw a guest leave his dog’s mess in the car park, doesn’t give the place a particularly 4 star feel."
