“Overall, we did had a good stay. We did have one issue--the pullout couch's mattress cover had blood on it and another "mystery" stain--but the front desk gave us a new cover. Also, some minor repairs/touchups need to be done in the bathroom, but nothing critical. The other areas of the room were clean and general well maintained. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful.”

“Hot holiday weekend and we lost power due to a storm so we went to the hotel. Because of the holiday weekend and not heavily booked they had cut staff to allow people to enjoy the holiday with family. Then the storm hit and they were packed. As a result we couldn't check in at 4:00 we had to wait until 4:15, no big deal. The room was spotless. The hotel was spotless. Services were prompt. Breakfast in the morning took all of 10 minutes to prepare. A hot made to order off a menu meal, not……

“Decent hotel. Room was overall clean except for the shower. Breakfast was disappointing. I don't know who thought using the thinnest paper plates was a good choice to use for breakfast, especially with waffles as an option. The plate was falling apart from the syrup. Staff was friendly.”

“We had a very comfortable stay at the Hampton in Chelsea. The room was immaculately clean, as were the common areas. The hotel has gone through an extensive renovation and the pool/hot tub area is not yet complete. They accommodated our dog without issue. The breakfast provided lots of options and was included. There's a great Japanese/Thai restaurant, Sakura, just behind the hotel which was amazing - huge portions so we wished we had shared one entree! The town of Chelsea is cute and the main……

“Desk person out front visiting, had to wait on her. Used soap and hair in shower, spiders in closet, iron scorched, sink cracked, wallpaper in bath not patched, carpet wet/damp.”

“The place is charming with high ceilings and big windows, and we even had a fireplace in the room. I am not sure if it works or if we were allowed to use it. it was summer anyway. However, there was no microwave in the room or the hotel as a whole, and there was no ice machine, the kind of things that you would need at a hotel. The hotel had a parking lot in the back, which is a great amenity when the hotel is in a kind of a busy area (not to say that anywhere in Clinton, MI is busy!)……
