Enjoy excellent fishing, diving and watersports opportunities along the sands of this quiet retreat and visit the charming hotels, villas and restaurants.

Buenavista is a lovely resort town with a line of sandy beaches lapped by the waves of the crystal clear sea. In a relaxed and scenic setting, the destination is ideal for snorkeling, diving and sunbathing on the strand. Sit back with a fishing rod on a pier and catch tuna, sailfish and other varieties among the diverse range of aquatic creatures here.

Relax in the serenity of this beach haven, far from the noise and activity of the towns. Lining the eastern side of the resort is Buena Vista Beach. Stroll along the strand and feel the soft white sand crunch between your toes.

Stay at one of the quaint villas or boutique hotels with views of the Gulf of California. You can also park your camper van in the East Cape RV Resort and sleep beneath the stars. Expect a desert climate with warm sea temperatures in summer.

Visit one of the sport fishing operators and rent equipment to take out on the water. Feel the breeze in your face and appreciate calm relaxation. A few restaurants serving seafood line the rear of the beach, providing excellent views of the water.

Rent an all-terrain vehicle to take along the dirt road and desert terrain that lead to remote beaches. A little north is Los Barriles, where stretches of sand are draped in colorful parachutes and kites. Go windsurfing or sailing here to make use of the fierce winds from March to December. Continue north to reach Pescadero, a silent spot known for its sunsets.

Arrive at one of the international airports in the nearby towns of La Paz, San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and rent a car to reach this small resort. Make sure to visit other nearby areas such as Santiago, Cabo Pulmo and El Cardoncito. Buenavista is a beach paradise with an idyllic setting for sport fishing and diving.
