The tub was pretty worn, and area around tub (grouting and tile) had quite a bit of build up. The room had a very strong smell of cleaner and dampness. It smelled like the room was not aired out or had good enough circulation after carpet cleaning. It was a bit over whelming. Chair in room had considerable damage on it from cats. It is not near the airport. I made a mistake and thought it was the other Holiday Inn close to the Calgary airport. I was dropped off so I had to take a $35 taxi ride to get to this hotel. I was one of 6 people that afternoon that made the same error. My room was right beside the elevator so all I heard all night was people going in and out. Also my fridge in my room was making a loud noise every time it started. I mentioned to staff when I checked out. They said sorry but I would have preferred a discount offer.
