“This is a "self-check-in" lodge in the woods, easy to miss the dirt road leading to the property. The property does not have a sign saying "Hideaway lodge", it simply has the house number labelled "private property". You simply go in the lodge, at the appointed check-in time (NOT earlier!... of course the door in unlocked). Guests receive email with instructions but we did not get an email so we just showed up hoping someone will help us. The cleaners were very nice enough to help us. We enjoyed...

“This motel is extremely rustic -- log walls, low ceilings, no insulation. The exterior maintenance is not great. The room I had was very small (just a little bigger than the queen bed) and had no heat. Staff brought me a space heater on request. The bathroom is about the same size as an airplane restroom. The curtains were ragged and difficult to open and close and weren't even the same length from left to right. This was one of the most "spare" motels I've ever stayed in, and the price should...

“The cabin was spacious, clean, stocked with everything we needed and super comfortable. We really enjoyed out stay. The river/lake was near and beautiful. We had 7 adults and were all very pleased with the accommodations. We will come back”
