4/5Very Good! (370 reviews)
As others have pointed out, the room accommodations were dated. I do think the service more than made up for it.
The room: the beds were comfortable, but it took a couple hours for the air conditioner to cool the room down a couple degrees. The bathroom was okay, but dated. Shower was nice if you were 5 ft tall or under, otherwise it was too low (shower head was about 5 ft above the tub floor). The toilet was low to the ground and a round bowl. Though there was an exhaust vent in the bathroom, it was not drawing any air (held a cleanex to it, when let go, it fell away)...so whatever moisture or smells you made, you're stuck with). This was causing the ceiling paint/texture to crack and peal. Room was dark, even with all lights turned on. The room was a little noisy, we visited offseason (July). I don't believe it was as bad as others have made it out. You can hear the people above you walking around, floor creaking, etc.
Overall the staff more than made up for the dated accommodations. We got there pretty late, and though the check-in desk clerk was cheerful, I don't recall her telling us anything about breakfast, check out, etc. We stopped by later and asked questions and were given the information we needed.
Chet's bar and grill is where the complimentary breakfast was served in the morning. Staff was outstanding, and the breakfast was wonderful.
Parking was a bit off site, but valet was available at a charge. The bellman/valets were helpful and informative.
