When you've visited all of the fabulous sights in Downtown Cabo San Lucas, there's loads more to discover in the surrounding area. Collect the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and get going. We've come up with some road trips we know you'll love:

• Make tracks to La Paz for a fun-filled sightseeing adventure. Around 90 miles from Downtown Cabo San Lucas, it has lots of inspiring sights, including Malecon La Paz.
• Next stop? It has to be East Cape, which is around 40 miles away. San Jose del Cabo Art District is one local hot spot you really shouldn't miss.
• Get out into the great outdoors and appreciate the serenity at Culiacan Botanical Garden. You'll find it approximately 210 miles from Downtown Cabo San Lucas.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Mexico, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. Also consider that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:
