There's heaps to do in Playacar Fase I, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Organize a set of wheels and you can discover the surrounding area at your leisure. Add these awesome places to your to-do list:

• You'll find La Isla Shopping Mall and countless other interesting sights in Cancun. From Playacar Fase I, it's around 40 miles away.
• Approximately 35 miles away, Tulum is also a favorite with travelers. Allow time to take in Tulum Mayan Ruins while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this vibrant city.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and take in the serenity at Progreso Beach. You'll find it roughly 170 miles from Playacar Fase I.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Mexico, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be able to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well.
