Rooms were clean, pool was nice, beach had seaweed this time of year but was still pretty and swimmable for part of the week. It’s a smaller resort so easier to get around. No lines, lots of chairs and places to chill out. Food at the buffet was ok, but the in air conditioned space was stifling. Restaurants were hard to book and meals often took a long time. Evening shows were enjoyable.

Best resort I’ve ever been to. If the beach was a little cleaner and calmer it would be much better but that’s out of the resorts hand. Other than that, this place is amazing and will be coming back every year.

I wish we got to actually experience the resort. I got very sick 2 days into our trip and then my wife got so sick that she needed to be hospitalized. We did not leave the resort or eat or drink anything other than what the resort provided.

We had a fantastic stay at Riu Palace Riviera Maya! The food was genuinely better than average for an all-inclusive — lots of variety across the restaurants, everything was fresh and well-prepared, and we never felt like we were settling for "resort food." The property itself was immaculate; the grounds and rooms were clean and well-maintained throughout our entire stay. The staff went above and beyond at every turn — friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed, which made the whole trip feel effortless. We also upgraded to the Elite Club, and it was absolutely worth it — the added perks and service level elevated the whole experience. Overall a beautiful resort with great food, a clean and well-run property, and staff that made us feel taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend for anyone considering the Riviera Maya!

An incredibly dreamy stay, with some of the best hospitality, service, and just pure thoughtfulness that I've experienced. We were a family of 3 (with a young toddler) and Rosewood was a great choice/home base for us as we explored the riviera maya region. I'm itching to go back already.

Our overall stay was OK. The pool area is really nice and the buffet was ok. We were under the impression that there were several restaurants open each night but in reality it's the buffet and 1 restaurant. You have to wait in line at 930 am to make a reservation at the restaurant and they have very limited seating. We were only able to get a reservation 1 day. The ocean water was really mossy and each morning our bathroom smelled of sewage to the point where I wanted to vomit. Staff was friendly, entertainment was good, but there are definitely some areas where there could be improvement.
