“As a single traveller I felt very safe and comfortable in this very conveniently located apartment. It’s quaint and had everything I needed a 2 night stay. Extra comfy bed. “The cottage was beautiful. Clean, cozy, and ideal for our needs. We will return the next time we are down. If i had one observation and it wasnt an issue to us, was we have a travel fridge in the car, a mini fridge in the room would have been ideal for milk.. “A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby.”

“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“It was delightful to nestle-in at Postgate Barn. Mark and Moya were perfectly welcoming and gracious.This thoughtfully appointed country retreat is charming, with perfect accommodations for two couples.
