“My boyfriend and I enjoyed this property a lot. It was clean and had great amenities. I wasn’t used to the ease at which the bugs got in (this is not the owners fault, just part of being in the woods) and the stone steps from the driveway to the actual steps are not optimal, in my opinion. If someone needs a walker or has a wheelchair I do not think I would select this property for that reason alone. The steps upstairs to the loft also made us nervous (boyfriend is a bodybuilder, getting 250...

“This place is peaceful and secluded the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept it comfortable you have everything you need to heat up food or keep it cold the view of the river is great and we enjoyed setting on the porch and watching the river and deers that walk right through the yard! The only things I may would change is the chairs on the porch. There is a fire pit also across the road but unfortunately we didn’t get to use it because of rain. ”

“Perfect place to stay if you love sitting outside and listening to nature. The propert was clean and comfortable. Easy distance to travel to Gettysburg or DC (we did both.) Overall, as a family of 4, we would love to return if we ever make it back this direction. ”

“Our stay in the Cedar Hill Cottage was certainly represented well by the website photos and was in a very pleasant location in the rural outskirts of Chambersburg. The wonderfully stocked kitchen and bathrooms certainly made our stay easy in terms of fulfilling all our needs, and the cleanliness of the house overall was evident upon first entering the front door. We really liked the deck and view; cool in the shade and pleased by the woodsy surroundings! You can even see the distant Blue Ridge...

“After a really stressful couple of weeks this property was just what we needed to reset our minds and bodies.The fact that we were able to bring our dog with us was a definite bonus. We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch with Zoey laying in the fenced in yard. Other times we sat by the creek and watched the geese and goslings swimming down stream. Lisa is very easy to communicate with and the property itself is special. From the relaxation under the canopy of trees, to the pool and creek access, there is plenty for a family to do. “Quaint adorable cabin nestled next to battlefields and short drive to Harpers Ferry. Beautiful deck in back overlooking woods. We hiked at various lookouts and did the ranger talk in town (highly recommend). Magical 3 day 2 nights. Completely relaxed! ”

“The rental description & photos accurately matched the home. Our group of 5 used all 4 bedrooms comfortable mattresses and furniture. We loved lazy mornings on the deck with beautiful mtn views. Afternoons were an easy 10 minute drive to enjoy the theatre festival in Shepherdstown. Several deer sighting (be cautious driving). ”
