“The castle and surrounding area are stunning with breath-taking views and sunsets. The villa was lovely, if not a little rustic, but it was what we expected from the photos. We ate on property two of our four nights, the wait staff were not the most welcoming and did not offer the charm of the surroundings. ”

It had everything we needed for our 3 days whist we explored the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, all a short car journey away. Because of the location you definitely needed a car. The nearest town is a good little hike down a hill and back up with groceries so having a car is a must. We used the local bus line and it was inconvenient. “It is a very beautiful castle with lovely scenic views. We were there in June. The rooms were very spacious and nice. It is very accessible to other towns in Tuscany. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. The only problem we had was the mosquitoes. We had our windows shut throughout the nights although a few managed to come through..otherwise everything else was great!”
