"The cabin was rustic but comfortable and quite remote, just like it was advertised. We all loved it! We woke to birdsong and cows mooing in the morning, and enjoyed the deer and wild turkeys. The small town of McDowell was very interesting, as were the Elegius Mini Horse Sanctuary, Hayfield State Park, and the McKendree cemetary (one of our party had relatives buried there). But mostly we loved the view, the remoteness, the cows surrounding us, and the quiet of the mountains. We started every morning sitting on the porch with our coffee or tea and finished most days there, too. Great place to stay!!"

"The cabin is nestled next to a running creek in a beautiful area of WV. It is very clean and comfortable. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is available. The rocking chair front porch is especially nice to relax on in the evening and for morning coffee. The cabin is conveniently located to all the areas attractions and is a great place to stay if exploring what WV has to offer. The host is very communicative and responsive. I highly recommend the cabin if planning a stay in the area."

"We arrived and suite was not very clean and had a musty smell. My wife asthma flared up and we had to leave. Explained the reason to owner/ landlord and got very little response not Evan a refund was offered. Would not recommend it at all. Also walking in we had few spider webs to walk through so must not been cleaned or visited prior to our arrival. For the price it would not be worth renting"
