“Un logement hors du commun que je recommande. Le cottage à l'entrée du site est grand, confortable, bien équipé mais poussiéreux. Localisation stratégique pour les visite de châteaux alentours (Glamis, Dunnottar, Blair, Braemar) Le soir, à pied, la découverte de la faune forestière est fantastique : chouettes effraies, biches, écureuil, vaches, cochons et chevaux sauvages, et bien sûr : les castors ! Plus la nuit tombe, plus ils apparaissent. Pas farouches, on les voit vaquer à leurs……

“Yes the property is very dog friendly which we love and the staff are extremely attentive and welcoming the bar has plenty to offer drinks wise and the food and menu are literally out of this world.”

“The bathroom was clean, and the bed sheets were clean, with a lovely smell even in the morning. Heating was on all night, so it wasn't cold in the morning, and after skiing at Glenshee, that warmth was lovely. The fireplace downstairs was so good, and we had a nice chat and watched TV. Great breakfast, and we also had dinner. I got lovely lasagna. The breakfast room looks lovely with a lot of paintings. Books are around, and a lot of small details. It is a new ownership, so they are really……

“Had a fantastic stay at Glenkilrie, Morag is very friendly and helpful. The room and guest house was lovely, spacious and clean, well furnished and quirky. It’s in a beautiful location and close to the Glenshee road. The cooked breakfast was top quality, very impressed. All in all a very pleasant stay over and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely be back to stay there in future!”

“Staff was not friendly and offered no explanations regarding breakfast or which rooms on the main floor were open for guest use. Since it is INCREDIBLY difficult to get to and there’s no towns nearby, we had no options but to eat dinner there. The food was good but this definitely brought up our overall costs. Our stay was okay but given that it was by far our most expensive stay of our Scotland trip, I can’t say I’d recommend it. P ”

“Not our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss.”
