"We loved the room. It was nicely decorated with antiques. The bed was soft yet firm, the sheets were silky smooth and cool. The Grand lounge was beautiful, like something out of a movie set but not unapproachable. We hung out there."

"Great location for essentials shopping, dining and easy access to grass valley. Tamara is a great manager and the staff was absolutely fabulous. It was nice having the exercise room available 24/7 and the breakfast was a real meal. The room was clean and appeared to be recently upgraded, I rate it 5 Stars for a reasonably priced hotel."

"Pros: Great check-in (we arrived around 9p, so not busy, but very pleasant interaction); room was completely redone - modern bathroom, laminate floors and a retro feel to the living space, which was super fun compared to the standard cookie-cutter rooms available nearby; comfortable lounge chairs placed in clusters around the property and lights along the building perimeters complimented the retro feel. For us, the lights created a nearly magical arrival, especially for seasoned road-trippers. Cons: Not a lot of privacy between bathroom & sleeping area, as there is a pocket door used to maximize space (at leadt in our room). This was a very small con for us since we do a lot of travel as a family, but thought I would mention for other travelers. Overall: Would absolutely stay again and will recommend to anyone traveling in the area."

"The checking was easy. I had prepaid for the stay. Miki was very helpful with my special needs accommodations. 1st floor, service animal. She was very nice and i enjoyed speaking with her. For me, simple is perfect. I needed very little. My room was efficient and was all i needed. The room was clean and bright. Nice bathroom and shower. Good water pressure and plenty of Hot water. My queen bed was comfortable. The sheets and pillow cases were clean and fresh. There was enough for space for my gear, bags, and my pups bed. Again, he is a certified service animal. Other furnishings were sparse. The surrounding area is a little busy at certain parts of the day and early evening, the rooms are set back from the street so it's not overly noisy. Everything in zAuburn i is in close proximity. I'll stay again when in town"
