“Lovely historic houses with beautiful old furniture. You eat in the main house (breakfast/dinner (30euros 3 courses), so if you are staying in the lower house (a complex of 6 rooms with a lovely garden and the option to use the sauna and hot tub for an additional charge) you need to walk 5mins for food. Extra activities include making chimney cake, bear watching, tour of Castle Kalnoky. We did have a car so drove to Varghus gorge for a lovely walk to see the caves (cost 50lei car park). NB if……

“Beautiful surroundings. Many activities to enjoy. The food was outstanding. My wife and I both had interesting massage experiences having had hundreds of massages. Out therapists did a good job, but never have we had a therapist stay in the room with us while we undressed and dressed. They always step out of the room for privacy. That was awkward. There was also no hot water in our room for bathing. ”

“I’ve been staying at Park Hotel since 2007. It’s a nice, cozy place, with excellent value for the money. Very quiet for being situated in the middle of the city. Nice surrounding park. Free private parking. It’s been constantly upgraded, but not really up to date. Breakfast is not included, it’s pricey and lacking. The restaurant menu is surprisingly poor. ”
