The room was enormously, but not impressed with the old furnishings. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were like rocks. The man next door was watching Men in Black. No I'm not a psychic, I could hear everything through the paper thin walls. Especially him hacking up a lung in the morning. The huge shower had 5 shower heads. If you were standing on one side your water was luke warm, but the other side was scalding hot. I was awoken 3 separate times during the night by someone who I assume was maintenance shouting about water pressure in a shower. At check out I was not asked how my stay was nor was I thanked for staying there. While the new esspresso machines in rooms are nice/high end, there was no option (regular coffee pot or microwave) to heat water for the tea and oatmeal I had packed (since I am not a coffee drinker or early riser). Only a coffee option in the lobby, as well. They do have a nice little coffee shop down the street called Blue Collar, however. i.d. restaurant and bar in hotel was wonderful. Darker, more intimate vibe with cool decor. Food and drinks were great. Lead female bartender was very nice, professional and accomodating. Rooms could use touch-up paint, but are large and nicely decorated. Shower and various showerheads are phenomenal, although the one in the adjoining room was quite loud near my bed wall. I would literally never stay anywhere else in Delafield. This hotel is so special. Incredibly stylish, seemingly furnished by Restoration Hardware and the onsite restaurant is a delight. The rooms are also huge. Even the base level one.
