“Would have given 4/5 stars, as staff were friendly & helpful, food & drink excellent, location fab and room & bed were lovely and clean, BUT: 1. no net curtains (and it was hot so wanted to open window and heavy curtains to let air in overnight and in the morning, but no privacy without net curtains or a blind. We were on first floor with windows opposite overlooking. 2. Extremely hot and no air conditioning, so too hot to sleep. 3. Woke up abruptly early morning - first with car alarm going……

“The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and had modern facilities. The hotel was in a good location for visiting sites in the area. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also excellent.”

“All the staff are all really friendly and helpful, they responded my email quickly before my stay. I was supposed to get a mail delivered at the hotel and they tried their best to keep looking for my mail. It was really helpful for them to do so. The hotel room is clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is good, supermarket is just next to it and town centre is within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to all.”

“We loved our stay at this gem of a BnB. The massive bed and the hearty breakfast gave us the energy to explore the area and made any jet lag a non-issue. Sue and Gary are wonderful hosts and provide as little or as much interaction as you want and were very helpful with ideas for locale, especially dinner. Sawby is a cute English town and the locals were very friendly when we went for walks.”

“This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out).……

“Excellent stay at the Briarcroft Hotel. We needed a place near the wedding venue we attended and this was right on the doorstep. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff were very attentive when needed. The continental breakfast was very nice, orange juice, cereal, toast. Parking right outside the hotel. Everything we needed was right there including local shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely use this place again”
