This is an old property that has lots of charm that I enjoyed. If you want modern looking, you may not like it. The staff did a great job to take care of any needs. They offer a really good buffet breakfast and dinner each day. You may find a local restaurant or diner at a cheaper price for each meal if you need to watch your costs. It is within 15-30 minutes walk from a ton of places. We never never took a cab the week we visited. The hotel is clean, the staff was great, and it was convenient to many places. I would stay there again.

Generally we had pleasant stay. The location was central and staff were helpful but we had to wait for a long time for some to come and check us in. And there was a plate left behind our door before we even go in and stayed there till next day so not sure why no one had picked it up before we arrive!

Nice enough hotel for the price. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived earlier than anticipated and had a sick traveler; they expedited a room for us and it was much appreciated. We had a recurring issue with loss of water pressure in the shower, and the property is a little run down in places (the lobby and room were both nice and clean). I think most will be happy with this hotel, however I would not consider this a 4-star property. I think this makes much more sense as a 3-star hotel.

Staff was very helpful. I really appreciated the rooms being cleaned daily. I also liked the amenities in the room with being stocked daily. The breakfast was excellent. Very close to downtown, without the noise of downtown. Great air-conditioning, which was much appreciated. Of the four places that we stayed between Ireland and Scotland on our trip this was our favorite.

Lovely hotel in a good location. We were able to walk to most attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the lounge and bar made for a lovely atmosphere to relax and rest after a full day. The staff were helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

What a great find! We're welcomed upon check-in with a glass of prosecco and then a basket of treats and water when we arrived in our room. Spacious room, very clean, great staff, and we were able to walk most places or catch a bus if needed. We're busy with Fringe Festival so did not use restauran, bar or other amenities that were available simply because we were busy elsewhere. Definitely think this is a great find and would recommend highly!
