“What a place. This is by far the best small hotel I have stayed in for a long time. On arrival the team member checking us, had the process complete in under 2 minutes. We had lunch in the bar, luxury furniture and great selection of alcohol if you wanted it. There was a limited small menu offering a good selection of meals all of which could be personalised. All served by the excellent waiting staff. For dinner there was a sumptuous selection of meals available again all of which……

“Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. ”
