Most of the staff were very polite especially the pool bar, the bar by the beach and the sports bar. Restaurants were often closed. They seem to run out of types of alcohol everyday at every bar. Plus there was not much good alcohol to choose from.
The lazy did not work. There was no flow due to it being broke all week! The lazy river was one of the reasons we wanted to go.
The beach on Ocean Eden Bay is all coral when walking into the ocean. It was extremely dangerous because it was uneven, slick and holes in the coral you could step into.
The pool was missing tiles everywhere. The bar pool had a massive amount of glue on it to hold on the front edge of the bar. It looked incredibly tacky and even could cut you. Someone said they got scratched from it down their side. About the 3rd day that whole edge fell off and hit someone in the foot. The people had to pick it all up and none of the staff said anything.
The jerk shack would run out of food in the middle of lunch and then there would be an hour wait.
A manager talked to some of us when we were leaving because we said it was 3 out of 5 stars. But nothing was offered to compensate us. We paid big money for this trip and it was not up to par. They should have offered a future stay to make up for it.
I don’t leave a lot of reviews especially bad ones. But management needs to do better because this resort has potential to be great.
