The apartment is serviced every day & the staff are unobtrusive , giving you time to laze around in the morning before they come. This property would probably have earned 5 stars , if not for 2 minor downfalls : 1. There are no flat/top sheets on the beds. Given the heat of Franschhoek, it would be great to have the option of only covering oneself with a sheet; 2. The apartment which we had stayed in window blinds are not easy to open & close. The one blind to the balcony couldn't close & the light from the signage outside "The Ivy" shines rights into the Main bedroom. I think that even with the blinds closed, it would still shine through. Overall though, this a fantastic property choice for a weekend away or even for tourists. It is tastefully furnished & the owners have definitely thought of almost everything ."

"Absolutely stunning Unit!!! There are quite a bit of stairs. The staff were there to assist with carrying luggage to and from the Villa. Staff were helpful and friendly. Communication was constant between reception throughout our stay. Villa was clean and beautifully decorated. The only issue is the dishwasher is placed on top of the washing machine. I am short so i needed help from hubby to fill up. Other than this. The kitchen was well equipped and well designed. The View was absolutely amazing from the balcony. Lake, River and Pool View. Bedrooms and Bathrooms were clean and elegant. A stronger hairdryer would've been helpful. Fragrances all round were stunning!!! We tried out the restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious!! Staff were friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend to families and couples! We also recommend updating the information on Hotels.com. We were under the impression there was no reception at the property."

"Beautiful estate and outstanding hospitality. The room was clean and cosy, had a neat little balcony for you to sit outside in the evening. Breakfast was always hearty and generous in portions. There was also a tennis court onsite which we didn’t know about, so that was a good surprise. The estate is on the wine tram line so it’s really easy if u just wanna hop on and off to other places with no trouble. Overall 10/10 Wished we had longer stay!"
