"We were traveling with our dog and were looking for a place that allowed pets - when I found this place, saw it was so close to the main downtown area, and realized how reasonable the prices were, I booked it immediately. We were so happy with our room and the service provided by Nate, the owner. Our room (#4) was huge and had a full kitchen - we only stayed one night so we didn't get to take full advantage of that other than to stash our leftovers in the fridge. We will definitely stay here again if we ever do another weekend in town."

"The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time. So if you have timed plans in the morning, make sure to give yourself an extra half hour buffer to account for possible breakfast delays. Other than that, I had an absolutely fabulous stay. The fireplace in the room was my favorite feature. Bed and bedding were like sleeping on a cloud. Book a suite with river view if possible. The view is quite wonderful! I saw the inn keeper every day. He’s very friendly, talks to everyone, and truly wants you to have a wonderful stay. I highly recommend dinner at least once at the restaurant there. The food is exquisite! Keep in mind that lunch and snacks aren’t offered. Bring things from home, there’s a fridge and microwave in every room."

"This motel was a total surprise! We wanted a cheap motel and knew that we could live with whatever we found. This motel could really improve its business with a bit of remodeling and cleaning of the outside. It looks shabby from the road. However, it was great on the inside. The breakfast area and hallway were very clean. Our room was huge and so clean! The beds were comfortable. The bathroom seemed new, and we lacked for nothing -- an iron, an ironing board, a new toilet, sink, and shower, and a hair dryer in the bathroom. It was all great. Breakfast was fine but could have used more warming. Juice, coffee, and waffles were great. We were pleasantly surprised and would go here any day!! Thanks to all. "
