Room could use a little TLC with things like a broken soap dish in the shower, but we are an active outdoor couple and don't need grand comfort. You are in the tropical jungle so expect bugs. “La Sagesse is the place to come if you want an enjoyable, peaceful, relaxing getaway. It's like an oasis. Every single member of the staff is very attentive to your needs/requests as well as genuinely caring. The beach is literally steps from your room. The food is fresh and tasty. If you want to go into St. George's, the bus ride is scenic and inexpensive - or the staff can arrange other transportation. I always thoroughly enjoy my stay at La Sagesse and highly, highly recommend it.”

The restaurant was good but the service was very slow. The setting was very nice (the hotel is part of a marina). There is a pool, but it was being resurfaced when we were there. “This is a low cost property, but for the low price, it's very good. It's clean and tidy, but certainly not salubrious. It's not particularly conveniently placed relative to the town, but it's on a major bus route--the (very frequent) number 1 route that goes right to the central bus station. There's not much nearby except for a couple of small stores, and the airport is just under a mile away, down a steep hill. That was a good thing for me as I had to walk there.
