“We had booked fir three nights, at a cost of over £250.00. We also booked a meal which was disappointing and with drinks cost over £60.00. It was not a good experience. There was no fan to aid ventilation in the room, bearing in mind that we have been in an extended heatwave, and the room was located in what would originally have been the attic and was extremely hot with only one window. “Had a wonderful 2 night stay here with my partner and my sister . Easy to find , loverly location . Warmly welcomed by there staff . Explained everything we needed to no took us up to our rooms etc . So nice so friendly and approachable . All areas and rooms very clean and tastefully decorated to a high standard . We had a meal in the restaurant the first night which was amazing. From start to finish . Breakfast was equally amazing. . Carnt wait to stay again in the future”

“Great little find here! Lovely pub with great atmosphere, food fab with onsite restaurant. The room was really well presented and lovely decor. My room was facing south and west on the hottest day of the year, thankfully the staff provided a fan and there was a well stocked fridge in the room too. Breakfast was continental style in the room in a lovely hamper, plus yogurts, milk and orange juice in the fridge. Would go back again when in the area. Thanks team.”

“Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . Felt the detail of cleaning could of been better ( big cobweb under window and handbasin cracked and behind the taps could of done with a clean ) The setting and surroundings really make this hotel a good find .Breakfast served by……

“Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable but some food crumbs on carpet suggests that it had not been cleaned properly after the last guest was in. Arrived for breakfast just before the end of time. I felt a bit hurried as the staff were removing most items even though there were other guests still in the breakfast room. I didn't have any other meals at the hotel and didn't need any parking.”

“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger……
