"This cottage is a hidden gem among the typical looming new structures on the island. Morning coffee (bring your own or get some at the nearby Harris Teeter store) was lovely at the front deck cafe table or in the screened porch. The beach is a very short 2 block walk. "I was visiting my son for the holidays and needed a place to stay. This house was perfect. Loved walking around the yard looking at the plants or sitting outside on the covered patio. The house was decorated for Christmas. It was well-stocked for me to cook meals. The host communicates quickly. There is a guest book with recommendations. The host even offered a bottle of wine! "This was a first time trip to the area for my adult son (27 yo) and me. We chose the beautiful location and ended up being about 14 miles from the venue for the son of our friends. The home was perfect for us and just as advertised. It was a 3-5 minute drive or short walk to any of the boardwalks to the beach.
