“The camper is very nice and comes with all the basics you need for a short stay. The camper is well maintained and the bed is very comfortable. The laundry is a shared facility in the campground (which does not have a coin/change maker and the machines only accepts quarters). The camper is located in the closest site to the river and has unobstructed views of the river- definitely the nicest site in the park. The town does not have a lot to offer. We arrived around 8pm and the casino……

“Check in was handled through text message. Easy to locate and information for check in was accurate. However, “clean and cozy” is misleading and the photos are obviously several years old and misleading to the overall condition of the unit. There were dead flys & cobwebs everywhere. The handle to the oven door was broken and the sofa couch was so uncomfortable you couldn’t even sit on it. We left a day early due to weather and the lack of cleanliness and I messaged the host who never responded……

“The place smelled like pee the furnishings are old and damaged the mini blinds are broken the kitchen stove was dirty and the cob webs on the light outside light that didn’t work, they don’t have air conditioning and the WiFi never worked”

“The picture I saw when I booked the place made the tents and beds look bigger than they were. There was a smell outside that I'm sure comes with the area. It was peaceful, though, and the beds were comfortable.”

“This place is FANTASTIC! The property itself is amazing—the river is right there! It’s close enough to Brookings and Crescent City to where there’s plenty to do. But, if you just want to relax at the house, it’s clean and comfortable. Even when it was raining, we still had a beautiful view of the river from the sliding door in the living room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking our own meals (although it is worth ordering from Wild River Pizza for, at least one……

“Wonderful host who was very welcoming and tried to make sure we knew how to get around (visiting the Redwoods!) Very close to Jeremiah Smith Redwoods... Fresh eggs in the fridge straight from the flock downstairs! The Hideaway is a great, secure basecamp for spending a couple of days in the redwoods.”
